Thrive came at a perfect time for me in my career, offering personal development, executive learning, time to reflect on the business and the opportunity and challenge to shape it and my life outside of work. The structure Kate adopts nurtures peer mentorship and I found this incredibly helpful as I developed my skills as a board member within the business, helping me lift my head and elevate my thinking by supporting my fellow Thrive CEOs and entrepreneurs. Kate told me commitment was essential before I joined, and she was absolutely right, both the business and I grew in tandem as a result of the dedicated thinking time. Most significant of all, on the days when being a CEO, wife, mother and daughter was lonely – I knew there was a team of Thrive members that I could turn to in any storm and they’d have my back. I’ll always be grateful to Kate for my Thrive journey, her coaching and the friends I have as a result.

I worked with Kate when I returned to Northern Ireland as part of the Thrive CEO community. Working with Kate on an individual level was hugely helpful as after relocating I integrated myself into the NI business and enabled me to develop in a confidential and structured space with experienced CEO’s and executives getting fresh perspectives and access to resources that accelerated by own development and effectiveness as well as build networks. The strength of the relationships fostered have carried through providing a supportive community that I draw on today. I was part of the group for 5 years and consider it one of the best learning investments I’ve made. 16 business executives in a safe environment where trust is the single and only rule makes for a unique environment. Having 15 other (smarter and wiser) heads, dissect problems within your business and hold you accountable to addressing them is something I would encourage any executive to avail of. It’s not theory and doesn’t involve diplomas, certificates of training.

I was part of Thrive for a number of years, under Kate’s leadership. Coming in as one of the younger business owners, it quickly became apparent that the program, was set to be a huge asset to me. Particularly as I navigated the various challenges, and opportunities faced on our business growth journey. This extended to support and guidance on life as a senior executive, where things can get quite lonely. The diversity of thought, and experience in the room is unmatched in my opinion, and brought significant value to our business in those years, and to me, as an entrepreneur.
